September 2017: an idea
The story of Clear Fashion begins in 2017.
Both very sensitive to the causes of social and environmental injustices, we were already thinking about working for projects that generate positive impacts.
We were studying agronomy in an engineering school. The courses we followed helped us to better understand the agricultural and food sectors. We learned somehow what's behind the food we bought each day.
Then, we had a click: we also buy clothes! But what's the story behind each clothes? How to buy eco-friendly clothes?
So, we decided to create a Facebook page and a first website to exchange with people that dealt with the same questions than us.
March 2018: some research
In early 2018, we started to work full-time on this project.
At first, we launched questionnaires, conducted in-store observations and interviewed consumers like you.
The goal was to get a clear understanding of the expectations and barriers of consumers, who like us, want to buy responsibly. All of this allowed us to define the criteria to be evaluated and to identify the best solution (app? extension? blog?).
July 2018: a prototype
Thanks to your feedback, we developed our prototype: a web application which already allowed the obtention of information on several brands.
You were more than 15,000 to test it!
Thank you for your dedication. It helped us to improve the solution. Your precious feedback allowed us to identify the major projects to be developed to move from the prototype to the official mobile application.
September 2019: launching of the mobile app!
In September 2019 we finally launched the Clear Fashion app!
The app is free and available on both the Google Play Store & Apple Store. Thanks to its app, Clear Fashion allows you to decrypt brands commitments and evaluate the impact of the clothing of your choice.
Improvements are forthcoming and we also have other projects. Thanks again for your precious help. Your experience with the app is very valuable for us. To improve it, do not hesitate to send your feedback to us!
